Getting Into Production
Hunt Yachts originally subcontracted manufacturing to Concordia Composites whose production manager was Ray Hunt II, grandson of our founder! When the opportunity arose to acquire this operation, Hunt Yachts gained its own facility and an up-and-going staff who had originally been building our yachts.
Since then, we have expanded our production, increased our manufacturing staff and added a sales office in the village of South Dartmouth, even better known by sailors and powerboaters for its harbor name, Padanaram. With docks in back, our sales office can often arrange sea trials on Buzzards Bay, boisterous waters ideally suited for demonstrating the superior seakeeping and maneuverability of our boats.
Heading up the boatbuilding operation is Peter Van Lancker, a veteran of several important powerboat companies and well known in the boating industry for innovations in manufacturing and detailing. While our current manufacturing facilities, located uphill across the harbor from the sales office, are fully utilized, demand for Hunt Yachts requires expansion, which we anticipate doing in the near future.
